Workshop at e-stitches, Bristol to explore the Sound Sample Player as a learning and prototyping tool to activate textile sensors with sound samples. The Sound Sample Player extends the ability to use sensors that are driven by changes in resistance rather than capacitance.

For many in the group the Sound Sample Player was a useful addition to developing e-textiles as it:

• Made playing around with sound more accessible
• Removed barriers to entry and “removes the fear” (participant comment)
• Provided an “experience with response” (participant comment)
